Crafted to compliment the interior design scheme of the first floor, the second phase of the Fitzroy project accommodates a large open plan kitchen, dining area and intimate TV lounge for the family. Black and Milk are working with the architect to build an extension in the basement that also connects to the garden, bringing in the outdoor – indoor feel to the new space.
Balancing cosy luxury interior design amongst the concrete flooring, the combination of the spaces adaptable spatial and luxury materials creates a harmonious abode for the young family to relax and entertain in.
With an abundance of natural light, the hues of the basement explores the notion of contrast, allowing the rich materials of the natural veneers stained in dark oak awaken the detailing of the suede fabric panelled partitions. Notable points within the design include the attention to detail with the choices of finishes and joinery. The handles of the cabinets have been selected to represent the bamboo that sits within the outdoor garden. Subtle Japandi references sit amongst unique modern touches that run throughout the bespoke kitchen design.
